Refund Policy

Our Returns & Refunds Policy applies to all new baby and child products sold by CB Baby, whether purchased online or in-store. At CB Baby we pride ourselves at selling premium, luxury baby products.

Quality Warranty (Products Sold as NEW) 

All products sold by CB Baby as NEW are covered by a quality warranty, subject to the terms below.

  • Peg Products

Peg products carry a 1-year quality warranty.Batteries and chargers supplied with Peg toys carry a 6-month warranty only. Proper usage, charging, and care are required to ensure the longevity and performance of these items.

  • All Other CB Baby Products

All other products sold by CB Baby carry a 6-month quality warranty.

If a product is found to be faulty, unsafe, or not fit for purpose within the applicable warranty period, you may choose a repair, replacement, or refund. Where a product is confirmed to be defective, CB Baby will arrange collection of the item or reimburse reasonable return shipping costs. 

This warranty does not cover: 

  • Damage caused by misuse, accidents, neglect, or incorrect installation
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Compatibility or suitability issues where product specifications and system requirements were clearly disclosed at the time of purchase

Online Purchases  

For online purchases, you may cancel your order within 5 business days of delivery. Goods must be unused, unassembled and in original, resaleable condition. This includes all accessories, mounts and manuals. The return costs will be for customer’s account. Refunds will be processed within 30 days of cancellation.

This does not apply to: 

  • Safety-critical or hygiene-sensitive goods once opened or used 
  • Products that have been assembled, installed, or activated 

Incorrect or Damaged Items 

If we send the wrong item, we’ll fix it at no extra cost to you. Please notify us within 7 days of delivery or collection. Damage must be reported before installation or use, where reasonably possible.

Safety-Critical & Hygiene-Sensitive Items 

Certain baby products are safety-critical or hygiene-sensitive

These include:  

  • Car seats 
  • Baby monitors and electronic devices once assembled, activated and/or paired 
  • Prams and strollers 
  • Ride-on toys  
  • Accessories that involve close contact with a child 
  • Personalised items 

These products may not be returned once opened, assembled, used, or activated, unless they are defective. However, defective goods may still be returned within the 6-month time period.  

Change-of-Mind Returns  

Change-of-mind returns are only accepted at the discretion of CB Baby. Requests are to be formally made within 7 days of purchase. Goods must be unused, unassembled and in the original, resaleable condition. The return costs are for the customer’s account. Refunds or store credit are offered at our discretion. 

The following are excluded from change-of-mind returns: 

  • Car seats 
  • Baby monitors once activated 
  • Assembled prams or ride-on toys 
  • Any item showing signs of use 
  • Personalised items 

Pre-Loved & Display Model Items 

All pre-loved and display model items are sold as final sale

Great care is taken in selecting our pre-loved products. Each item is thoroughly inspected, checked, and serviced by our qualified technician to ensure it is in the best possible condition prior to being offered for sale. These items are sold at a reduced price, which reflects their pre-loved or display status and any visible cosmetic wear. 

While pre-loved and display items include a 1-year service warranty, they are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure they are fully satisfied with the condition and suitability of the product before completing the purchase

Our pre-loved and display items are available to view at the CB Baby Showroom, and customers are welcome to visit us to inspect products in person. For customers who are unable to visit the showroom, we are happy to provide additional photographs or videos upon request to assist with informed decision-making prior to purchase. 

We strongly encourage customers to review all product details, images, and descriptions carefully and to contact us with any questions before placing an order. 

Refunds and Returns Process 

To request a return please contact as soon as possible at info@cbbaby.co.za or 087 149 1613.  

 

All returned goods are subject to inspection before a refund, replacement or repair is processed. Please ensure that the product is returned with all accessories and packaging.  

Refunds are issued via EFT, and processing usually takes between 5 – 10 working days.  

Consumer Responsibilities 

Consumers are responsible for using products according to manufacturer instructions and ensuring correct installation (especially for car seats and electronic products). Inspecting goods upon delivery or collection and reporting issues promptly.
